In fact, AZA released research in 2019 which showed that its accredited venues across the US added $24 billion to the country’s economy. As we enter a new decade, there are several exciting new zoo and aquarium projects underway across the globe. Many of these new zoo and aquarium projects involve expansions. These aim to improve habitats, educate visitors and provide a more engaging experience. Others are completely new attractions.”
